This nature exhibit will be on display April-May at Central Penn College, Advanced Technology Education Center Gallery, 600 Valley Road, Summerdale, Pa. 17093
Harrisburg-based Photojournalist Debra Schell's focus for this exhibit was nature. Photographing nature was how Debra first became interested in photography more than 16 years ago.
The work in this exhibit was photographed in 2011-13 and includes photographs from of the following locations in Pennsylvania: Wildwood Park and Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg; Longwood Gardens, near Kennett Square; Trough Creek State Park and Raystown Lake, both near Mount Union; Lititz Park in Lititz; Blue Marsh Lake, near Reading, and several waterfall photographs from Ricketts Glen State Park in Columbia, Luzerne, and Sullivan counties.
Schell's also added new work from Green Lane Park, located in Schwenksville, Pa.
Schell holds a Bachelors of Arts degree, majoring in Photojournalism/Journalism from Point Park University, and an Associate Degree in Photography from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Schell is an Annville-Cleona Jr./Sr. High School graduate, Class of 1999.
Schell’s photojournalism work has been published in Pittsburgh’s Trib Total Media publications including The Green Tree Times, 51Corridor, and The Signal Item. In the Central Pennsylvania area, Schell’s work has been published in the Middletown Press And Journal, The Sentinel in Carlisle, Fly Magazine, The Central Penn Business Journal, MODE Magazine, The Burg, and The Lebanon Daily News.
